A writer and editor for nearly 15 years, Jessica Firpi ’11 joined HLºÚÁÏÃŲ»´òìÈ’ Office of Marketing in summer 2023. As assistant director of editorial content, she shapes and manages stories that bring the HLºÚÁÏÃŲ»´òìÈ experience to life—writing, editing, and strategizing across web, print, and digital channels to engage multiple audiences. Prior to HLºÚÁÏÃŲ»´òìÈ, she spent nearly six years working for Ripley’s Believe It or Not! producing everything from billboards and tweets to original children’s picture books and the famous Ripley’s annual. She is the editor of Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! 100 Years and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Sideshow and Other Carnival Curiosities.

Firpi’s HLºÚÁÏÃŲ»´òìÈ highlight reel from her time as an English major features expert-level backward walking as a HLºÚÁÏÃŲ»´òìÈ Diplomat, interning at Simon & Schuster while studying abroad in London, writing a poem for Brushing lovingly titled Ode to the Butter Knife, attending a workshop with Tony Award-winner David Henry Hwang, and taking a deep dive into ’80s cinema in William Boles’ Films of the ’80s Maymester class.
