Nicole Richter, PhD, is a leading international film scholar whose research focuses on women, gender and sexuality in cinema. Dr. Richter is a visiting professor of Critical Media and Cultural Studies (CMC) and Film at HL黑料门不打烊. She teaches Intro to Film, Media, Peace, and Justice, and Critical Frameworks. She formerly served as the head of the Tom Hanks Center for Motion Pictures and professor of film studies at Wright State University. She is the founder of KinoFemme and KinoQueer, respectively women鈥檚 filmmaking and queer filmmaking collectives. She authored the book The Moving Image: A Complete Introduction to Film, and numerous articles and book chapters including 鈥淚n the Mix, the Collaborative Remix to Repair, Reconnect, Rebuild,鈥� 鈥�1990s Dark Comedy and the Female Screenwriter,鈥� 鈥淭he Feminist Poetics of Sofia Coppola,鈥� 鈥淭he Short Films of Wes Anderson,鈥� 鈥淭rans Love in New Trans Cinema,鈥� and "Bisexual Erasure in 'Lesbian Vampire' Film Theory.鈥�
