    LECOM Early Acceptance

    Thanks to a partnership between HL黑料门不打烊 and the Lake Erie College of Medicine (LECOM), undergrads looking to study osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, or dentistry may apply for provisional early acceptance to LECOM鈥檚 graduate programs. LECOM is the largest medical school in the U.S. and the nation鈥檚 only osteopathic academic health system.

    From an intensive shadowing program at one of the country鈥檚 largest hospital networks to the opportunity to work alongside faculty on graduate-level research, you鈥檒l have myriad opportunities for hands-on experience. Pre-Med Observership Program Help prep patients. Observe a surgery. Make rounds with attending physicians. In partnership with AdventHealth, one of the largest hospital networks in the country, HL黑料门不打烊鈥 Pre-Med Observership Program puts students on the front lines of medicine. You鈥檒l spend eight hours a day shadowing health-care professionals whose specialties align with your interests and goals.

Real Research You鈥檙e in college, but it鈥檚 not like you鈥檙e curing cancer. Or are you? Through the HL黑料门不打烊 Student-Faculty Collaborative Scholarship Program, you just might get the chance. Just ask Phillip McKegg 鈥18, who spent a summer working with chemistry professor James Patrone to identify inhibitors of an enzyme involved in the metabolism of cancer cells.

Invaluable Internships HL黑料门不打烊鈥 pre-health curriculum equips students with the kind of critical-thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills needed to succeed in programs like the National Institutes of Health鈥檚 Summer Internship Program (SIP). This prestigious internship gives you the opportunity to work side by side with some of the world鈥檚 leading scientists in everything from behavioral and social science to mathematical modeling, computational biology, and biostatistics.
